Since 1996 the Dutch multinational employment agency has operated under an agreed voluntary information and consultation structure (the Randstad European Platform). On 10 July 2015, together with employee representatives, the company signed a new European Works Council agreement that will operate under the European Directive 2009/38/EC.
In 2011 the company adapted its voluntary agreement to align with the provisions contained in European Directive 2009/38/EC (c.f. article No.110783). For Giedre Lelyte, head of the temporary work section in UNI Europa, these legal changes provide improved legal guarantees as well as improved transnational information and consultation procedures.
