Slovenia: detail on the application of the law on the Participation of Employees

Maximum amounts. The law provides that the profit distributed amongst employees may not exceed 20% of the accumulated profit of the business year or 10% of the gross amount of salaries paid out to the company’s employees. The Ministry of the Economy specified that the term salaries paid out to the company’s employees in the business year refers to all salaries paid out by the company. The maximum amount paid out to each employee is €5.000 and does not include interest the employee is entitled to receive for the period the profit is retained within the company, the ministerial letter said.
