On 7 June, Solvay group chief executive officer Jean-Pierre Clamadieu and Global Forum coordinator Albert Kruft signed a four-year agreement which formalises this body, which had been introduced on an experimental basis in 2015.
In a statement issued on 8 June, the chemical company said: “Solvay has established the Solvay Global Forum (see article n°8965) as a permanent body, further enhancing constructive social dialogue as an important lever for the Group’s economic performance.”
The Solvay Global Forum was initially set up in 2015 to “to foster internal social dialogue between the eight representatives of Solvay’s 30,000 employees and Solvay’s top management”, the firm adds. The body consists of eight trade union rep
