The merger between Solvay and Rhodia is a successful example of integration in terms of social dialogue culture. The global CSR agreement signed yesterday, December 17, by Jean-Pierre Clamadieu, chairman of the executive committee of Solvay, and Jyrki Raina, international general secretary of IndustriAll, is in line with Rhodia’s inheritance while refining commitments in terms of union freedom. “Our two organizations have undergone recent changes and, in spite of their respective evolutions, the spirit of dialogue remained the same,” Jyrki Raina declared at the signing meeting in Brussels on December 17. Jean-Pierre Clamadieu also put forward this idea of continuous social dialogue and said that, for the young group, “sharing out CSR commitments and agreeing to be challenged is a key dimension,” as it has been and will be.
