The CCOO-Industry and MCA-UGT unions announced they concluded an agreement with the installation companies that work for Spanish telephone operator Telfónica Movistar in a bid to control both chain sub-contracting as well as unstable employment for technicians who manage the setting up and maintenance of telephone and telecommunications network infrastructures.
The agreement, struck on 11 February 2016 sets out the main thrusts of a first time framework addressing working conditions in a sector that has not any specific collective agreement and that currently depends on the metals sector agreement.
