The Fitag-UGT and Fiteqa-CCOO unions and the Consejo Intertextil español (CIE) employers’ organization signed an agreement in principle renewing the collective agreement for the textile and garment industry. This agreement is signed nearly two years after the previous collective agreement expired (December 2010) and with the 2012 labor market reform which allows employers, starting on July 8, to consider that all collective agreements that haven’t been renegotiated within one year after they expire no longer apply.
