On 22 July, the employers’ body Confebask, together with the CCOO and the UGT unions ratified an agreement giving prevalence to collective agreements negotiated in the Basque region of Euskadi. However this will not be generally applied because the nationalist ELA and LAB unions, which hold a 60% majority in the region, did not sign.
