After the Santander bank (see our article No. 070841), the Banesto bank is now signing a gender equality plan to enforce the law on effective gender equality. It also aims at putting equal treatment and equal opportunities at the heart of the company's human resources' policy. (Ref. 080003)
Banesto already established a series of measures to encourage equal opportunities and combat discrimination towards women. This equality plan, signed at the end of 2007, introduces new measures which stress the protection of maternity, work-life balance, and women’s access to trainings and advancement.
