Eight-hour long talks led to an agreement which unions qualified of “complex” which both secures the right to strike and citizens’ mobility. The text sets out that 25% of suburban trains will be running – 30% during rush hour. 20% of long-distance trains will run between Madrid, Malaga, Seville and Barcelona. Regarding air traffic, 50% of flights will run between the peninsula and the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands and the Ceuta and Melilla enclaves (northern Africa). 10% of national flights will run between 9 cities: Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Bilbao, Valencia, Malaga, Oviedo, Alicante and Santiago de Compostela. Regarding international flights, 20% of connections with European capitals plus Zurich, Milan and Frankfurt will be covered. 40% of the remaining international flights will run.
