The Spanish textile group signed, on May 22, 2008, an agreement negotiated with trade unions to enforce an active policy of equal treatment between men and women at its logistics platform in Saragossa (Plataforma Europa). First agreement of its kind within Inditex, unions think it should serve as a reference in the group, and in the Spanish textile sector in general. (Ref. 080462)
This plan was born from negotiations started in May 2007 with the signature of the agreement for the creation of the “equal opportunities commission” with staff, management and union representatives. It was then followed by a diagnosis of the situation in the company, as planned by the Organic Law for effective gender equality (see our article No. 070315).
