During the Council of ministers of September 29th, the Minister of Employment, Jesus Caldera, introduced to his colleagues a draft bill which will make the right to information and consultation a basic right "for every employee". Moreover, the future law will transpose the provisions on transnational bankruptcies contained in the directive on the protection of the workers in case of insolvency of the employer. (Ref 06969)
Supplementary transposition of directive on workers’ information and consultation. The initial bill, which contains only one single article, will change the Status of workers in order to explicitly make information and consultation a “basic” right of wage-earners.
