Spain: report on Spanish industry and temp work agencies

The Agett - the association of the main temporary work agencies - published a study on the characteristics of the labour market in the Spanish industry, which entrusts 77% of its jobs to temp agencies. By evaluating the contribution to economy and the employment stability of this sector which particularly appeals to temp work, the Agett supports its lobby in favour of the suppression of some restrictions concerning certain activities, such as the building sector or the civil servants. While showing industry’s contribution to the Spanish economy (one of the most productive sectors in the country, since durable consumer and household goods strongly contributed to national growth), the report mostly evaluates major employment characteristics in this sector, which massively appeals to temp work.
