The public prosecution has brought 650 managers in court to answer for industrial accidents which happened in 2007. This represents an 86% increase compared to the previous year, and is the result of better cooperation between the justice and the Labor Inspectorate. The number of criminal convictions has also significantly increased. However, the decrease in deadly industrial accidents is taking a long time. (Ref. 080575)
