The final draft of the labour law reform has been settled. The government and the social partners reached an agreement on Thursday 4th May, after 14 months of complicated negotiations, which stalled several times, before being revived at the beginning of April. (Ref. 06449)
The agreement should be officially signed on Tuesday 9th May, at the presidential palace of Moncloa by the president of the government, José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, representatives from the two major trade union organisations UGT and CCOO and from the two employers’ organisations CEOE and CEPYME.
