Spain: unions and Seat’s management are negotiating the cut of 1,500 jobs

Unions and Seat's management started talks about a staff adjustment which should lead to the cut of 1,500 jobs on a three-year period. One year ago, Volkswagen's Spanish subsidiary had already proceeded to the suppression of 1,000 posts, which brings the total to a reduction of 16% of the payroll. (Ref. 070280)

The car manufacturer’s management is starting negotiations with the will to carry out no forced lay-offs. It notably offers compensation packages which might go as high as 140,000 euros.
