Spain: working conditions in consultancy firms have come under scrutiny

A major swoop. On 15 November 2022, the Spanish Labour Inspectorate swooped into the Madrid headquarters of the ‘Big Four’ major auditing and consulting firms (Deloitte, EY, KPMG and PwC) undertaking surprise spot checks that have only recently been reported by the Spanish press and that are making the sector feel very uncomfortable indeed. The purpose of the inspections is to verify employee actual working hours, as well as compliance with the Labour Code in terms of employee overtime payments
