After 7 months bargaining, an agreement was finally reached for the 60,000 agency workers on October 17. signed between LO (landsorganisationen, the Swedish Trade Union Confederation) and Almega Bemanningsföretagen, the association of temporary work agencies, this agreement is presented as one of the most innovative agreements signed since 2000 because, for the first time, it gives workers hourly wages between two assignments. New guaranteed wage. LO and Almega Bemanningsföretagen are both satisfied with the agreement signed after 7 months of complicated negotiations. The heart of the bargain was mostly on awarding and calculating guaranteed hourly pay. Indeed, the salary of workers who remained available for the TWA in between two assignments used to be calculated based on their income of the past 3 months.
