national bus and truck manufacturer, announced that it signed a new company agreement with the If Metall (metalworkers’ union) and Teckniksföretag (supervisory union). As Veli-Pekka Säkkälä, chief negotiator for If Metall, wished, it isn’t simply an extension of the crisis agreement concluded in March 2009, but really a new agreement. While it maintains idle Fridays, it reestablished full payment of wages. This agreement will apply from January 1 to June 30, 2010. (Ref. 091139)
