The strike lasted for 3 weeks, during which Veolia Transport and SEKO (services and communication union) fought over a certain view of appeal to temporary contracts and the risks of social dumping. The conflict led to an agreement between the two parties but also boosted several other agreements in the sector, including a general agreement between the ST (public sector), SEKO, Saco-TJ (college graduates) unions and the Almega employers’ organization (private sector firms) in order to protect Sweden’s social improvements from the arrival of new operators.
