Telekom Indonesia: the group signs a global framework agreement with Uni Global

Example.  With 105 million subscribers, Telekom Indonesia is currently the largest operator in Indonesia.  The semi-public company employs about 25,000 people, 22,000 of whom are union members.  The important union presence and the good relations between the management and local unions can partly explain the recent signature of this agreement, for which negotiations opened earlier this year.  Uni Global declared that it wants the company to serve as an example of good practices in south-eastern Asia.

The Uni Global Union international trade union and the Telekom Indonesia phone company signed, on September 21st, a global framework agreement. The parties commit to work together to guarantee social peace in the company as well as compliance with workers’ fundamental rights. (Ref. 100683)
