European social partners in the textile sector, Euratex for the employers and the Trade Union Federation for Textile, Clothing and Leather (ETUF: TCL), are mobilising to improve anticipation of restructurings (Ref. 06638).
Both parties have agreed on a programme of work, supported by the European Commission in the context of the sectoral social dialogue committee. This project has arisen in the context of the abolition of all the existing international trade quotas in the textile and clothing sector since 1st January 2005.
