The European Metalworkers' Federation (EMF) has launched a campaign to present its first common demand: the individual right to training. It has circulated a text to its members, inviting them to include it in their national, sectoral or company negotiations between employers and trade unions. (Ref. 06450)
Passed following the 5th collective bargaining conference organised by the EMF on 11th and 12th October 2005 in Rome, the first common demand involves the individual right to training guaranteed by collective agreements. It contains eight points, which EMF members should call for nationally, during sectoral, regional or company negotiations.
