By adopting the report prepared by Jean-Louis Cottigny, in reply to the communication of the European Commission on restructuring in March 2005, the committee on “Employment and social affairs” of the European Parliament seems to be satisfied with the status quo regarding the revision of the directive on the European Works Councils.
