Thomson: the EWC wants to be consulted on a transnational restructuring

The European Works Council of the French group Thomson, world leader in video solutions (22.000 employees at the end of 2007), asked the management to organize an extraordinary council meeting to present the restructuring plan which will affect 3 plants, 2 in France and 1 in the Netherlands. According to the EWC secretary of this group undergoing radical transformation, the council met for 12 plenary sessions in 2007 and already 6 in 2008 to follow restructuring plans. (Ref. 080634)
