The minimum wage in Turkey has risen sharply at the start of this year, from 11,500 to 17,000 Turkish lira (€521) per month. This 50% hike is due to rampant inflation in the country, which reached 62% in November. Like Argentina, the country is facing a currency crisis, with the national currency losing value against the dollar since 2021.
