…United Kingdom: government backs bill to create leave allowance for carers
The UK government has lent its backing to the Carer’s Leave Bill, which will create an annual unpaid leave entitlement of one week, at all companies, for employees with caring responsibilities. The entitlement will seek to help the 2 million Britons who currently have to care for a relative while working.
