On 12 December, the UK’s Information Commissioner (ICO) published two new draft guidelines on the retention and use of employees’ personal data. The first relates to the keeping of records by employers, and the second to the recruitment and selection of candidates. The latter is aimed specifically at organisations that carry out recruitment on behalf of employers, such as recruitment agencies, head-hunters and consultancies.
