US President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion Covid relief bill – dubbed the American Rescue Plan – was passed this weekend by the Senate. The latest version of the stimulus plan will be the subject of a vote by the House of Representatives on Tuesday, with the president hopeful that the law can be signed this week. This vast programme covers efforts to combat the pandemic, foster economic recovery and provide support for those most in need.
“We’ve taken one more giant step forward in delivering on that promise that help is on the way,” the president said on Saturday.
