On January 28, the President passed his first act, the “Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act” named after this woman, victim of wage discrimination, who fought for years, trying to obtain compensation, in vain. This act overrules a decision by the Supreme Court which considerably reduced possibilities to appeal against unfair pay. (Ref. 090135)
