As reminded by the organization, this week, of a vote on the United Auto Workers entering Volkswagen’s Chattanooga plant (Tennessee), the establishment of union representation is often a hardship for American employees (see article No. 8151). After loosing in the appeal against the court ruling simplifying and quickening this unionization procedure at the end of last year, the National Labor Relations Board has decided to start this reform from scratch.
“The National Labor Relations Board announced that it is issuing proposed amendments to its rules and regulations governing representation-case procedures,” reads a press release published on the federal agency’s website on February 5.
“In substance, the proposed amendments are identical to the representation procedure changes first proposed in June of 2011,” the NLRB explains:
