US-Brazil initiative on decent work launched

On 20 September, during the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the presidents of the United States and Brazil, Joe Biden and Luiz Inácio Lula, sealed a partnership to protect decent work across the globe. Trade union leaders from both countries were also present at the event. The initiative, which will be taken forward by the two countries at global forums, such as the G20 and COP30, has five priority areas: safeguarding workers’ rights, fostering safe and decent working conditions, c
