    The employers’ body, BusinessEurope is disappointed by the ETUC decision not to enter into negotiations on revising the Written Statement Directive (c.f. article No. 10436). “We are surprised and disappointed by the decision,” stated Therese de Liedekerke who underlined that she believed there was still room for negotiation on the directive that requires employees be informed of the essential conditions pertaining to employment contracts.
