Since the resignation in April 2019 of President Abdelaziz Bouteflika due to popular pressure, Algeria’s justice system opened investigations against several businessmen who are linked to the former presidential regime. In the midst of forming a new government, Algeria released Mr Issad Rebrab, (aged 74), the President of Cevital, Algeria’s biggest private company with an annual turnover of US$4 billion.
