On October 31, 2024, Amazon published Q3 2024 results, beating analysts’ expectations in terms of both sales and profitability. Quarterly sales rose by 11% at constant exchange rates to US$158.9 billion (US$15.8 billion more than a year ago). In the first 9 months of 2024 – and we will focus our analysis on the period from January to September – Amazon’s sales rose by 11.2% to US$450.2 billion. This represents a 9-month incremental uplift of US$45.4 billion (year-on-year evolution).
