Britain’s Marks & Spencer (annual turnover to the end of March 2024: €15.2 billion, up 9.4%) has been suffering from a ransomware-type cyber attack since April 21, 2025. According to IT website BleebingComputer, the Scattered Spider group is behind the attack. The attack blocked the contactless payment system in stores plus online orders. The hackers are believed to have stolen data from M&S, which they then encrypted on the DragonForce ransomware server.
