Carrefour’s exclusive franchisor in the Middle East region, Majid Al Futtaim, launched the world’s first “sail-through” supermarket on December 4th. This serves yachts, jet-skiers and beach customers in Dubai, stocking 300 products, including food and drink, plus personal care items. This highly original and innovative retail format is a floating mini-shop based around an Aqua Pod. Small boats can moor directly on the Aqua Pod to shop.
