Eager to reduce debt, the Casino Group (managed by Jean-Charles Naouri) has sold Vindemia, a subsidiary in the Indian Ocean. While the share price of Casino collapsed and the Group’s debt reached €2.9 billion in the end of May 2019, the grocery omnichannel retailer completed debt reduction plans with the sale of Vindemia for €219 million.
