In China, qualified as a major expansion priority only 6 months ago by Ikea, the Swedish retailer has started to rationalise the store footprint. Following successive lock-downs and a change in shopping behaviors and delivery expectations, the world’s largest furniture retailer will close the urban store in Shanghai (Yangpu district) on 6 July, after two years.
