On April 10, 2024, the family-owned Roche Bobois Group (annual sales of €429.6 million to 31 December 2023, up 6.1% at constant exchange rates) announced a strategic shift in China. With 340 stores (under the Roche Bobois and Cuir Center banners) in 54 countries, the furniture brand is to take a majority stake (51%) in the Chinese franchisee, Shanghai Rock Castle Furniture. This will be effective by July 2024.
