In the UAE, Talabat’s delivery drivers (a subsidiary of the German group Delivery Hero) have refused, for the second time in a month, to deliver meals in the city of Dubai. They are demanding an increase of US$0.54 in their pay per trip, which is currently US$2.05.

The reason given is the increase of more than 30% in fuel prices in the country since January. The gathering of the delivery drivers in front of restaurants in the city is all the more risky for them, as demonstrations are...
