Whilst supporting ‘Euroshop’ G.R.N. reviewed the very high-end supermarket Edeka Zurheide (on Berliner Allee, 10 minutes from Düsseldorf central station). Halfway between retail and gastronomy, this store format has been continuously going upmarket since opening 2 years ago. With a huge sales area of 10,000 sq.m spanned across 2 floors and 9 restaurants; this store represented an investment of €20 million. From 200 staff, 1 out of 8 is a chef.
