The Association Familiale Mulliez (AFM) that controls the Auchan Holding (1) appointed Edgard Bonte, (aged 48) as President of Auchan Retail. Shareholders are determined to halt the decline of Auchan Retail as the principal business of the Auchan Group, founded in 1961 by Gerard Mulliez, in northern France.
