French Connection founder and C.E.O. Stephen Marks plans to sell his 42% stake in the fashion label he founded in 1972, targeting customers aged 18 to 35. French Connection was very successful in the late 2000’s. However, it faces bans over the FCUK name (for French Connection U.K.) in the U.S.A. In recent months, the chain has built strong sales online via Asos. French Connection reported turnover of US$200 million at 31st January 2018 with 30 stores.
