According to Fabrice Haïat, Co-founder of the Yoobic software editor, “our solution enables grocery retailers to check only the required “end-of-life” products instead of manually examining all products every day. For a hypermarket, the time and cost saved calculates as a full-time employee for a year”. Yoobic operates in 45 countries and turnover jumped by 100% per year over the last 4 years.

The business has implemented the solution at sites for Carrefour and Casino. “Manual checking in a hypermarket fresh aisle can take several hours,” Haïat added. “With Yoobic, this process is fully digitalised: the staff records all SKUs just once with their associated life. Our solution automatically calculates which products need to be checked. On average, marked-down prices linked to out-of-date products improves by 0.3 points as short-life products are automatically placed on promotion”.
