In Europe, consumers go out to eat for 20% of all meals. But so far, “Food & Beverage” retailers occupy between 12% and 19% of the sq.m GLA of European shopping centers. According to forecasts from Cushman & Wakefield, this should be between 14% and 22% of retail sq.m by 2030, to generate between 11% and 17% of malls’ revenue.
