In the U.S.A., the volume of items being traded online has more than doubled since 2013. Whereas many fashion retailers such as Abercrombie & Fitch and Gap continue to struggle against decreasing retail sales, the online second hand market for clothes and other goods reached US$2 billion in 2016.
