One year after the department store chain sank into liquidation, 95 former BHS locations (out of 160 in total) were still vacant in September 2017, said Local Data Company. As demand for large stores has faltered, only 25 units have been taken over by Primark, Sports Direct, B&M and Next. Another 35 stores are expecting to have new tenants. In Oxford Street, the Polish fashion retailer Reserved has replaced the BHS’s former flagship.
