The U.S. discount fashion retailer Burlington Stores (turnover of U$2.2 billion during the quarter to late January 2020, via 720 stores in the U.S. and Puerto Rico) announced a closure of the online business as part of publication of financial results. So far, the online channel represents only 0.5% of total activity, so it is not a strategic move. TJX, the U.S. biggest fashion discounter, launched very recently online sales and Ross Dress for Less (n°2) doesn’t sell online.
