Leaving the F.M.C.G. industry to enter a sporting goodsretailer is not a common move. The Danish-born Kasper Rorsted, (aged 53), will take charge of Adidas in October 2016. He is currently C.E.O. of Henkel FMCG manufacturer, whose turnover is twice that of Adidas. Mr. Rorsted previously worked at Oracle, Compaq and Hewlett-Packard. He is a passionate about running but he has never worked for a retailer.
