According to Bain Capital, the number of new luxury stores will decrease from 470 stores in 2016 to 350 in 2017 (-26%). In 2012, luxury retailers opened 1,000 stores worldwide! After a year of stagnation, the global luxury market should grow by 5% to €1,160 billion in 2017 (including luxury cars, hospitality, personal luxury goods and top-notch cruises). Many brands have streamlined their portfolio, opening fewer stores in the Middle East and China to focus on the more mature and strategic mark
